A bold and historically charged piece of late-Soviet graphic art — an original 1985 propaganda poster by G.N. Verbitskiy (Г.Н. Вербицкий), published in Kyiv by the Ukrainian state publisher Molod (Молодь / Youth) and directed at the youth of the Ukrainian SSR during the 11th Five-Year Plan.

The composition is a masterclass in late-Soviet graphic industrialism: a young construction worker operating heavy machinery, silhouetted against a sharp geometric backdrop of high-rise developments, structural grids, and industrial cranes — rendered in punchy golden yellows and deep blues with bold, flat colour-blocking that edges toward the pop-adjacent graphic language of the mid-1980s. The top left corner bears the blue emblem of the Komsomol (Young Communist League) with the legend “Комсомольская путёвка” (“Komsomol Travel Ticket”) — a reference to the state-sponsored youth labour assignments that dispatched hundreds of thousands of young Soviet citizens to construction sites across the USSR. The call to action along the bottom margin leaves no ambiguity: “ЮНОШИ И ДЕВУШКИ! Wear: Minor soft handling ripples across the surface — no sharp creases or breaks in the ink. Corners are sharp and free from dog-ears; upper-right and lower-right show very slight softening consistent with careful handling. Bottom edge has age-appropriate softness with a few tiny nicks. One very small light mark on the upper-left orange border. Reverse is exceptionally clean — virtually no yellowing, moisture damage, or tape residue; minimal faint discolouration spots on the bottom margin only.

Details: Colours are remarkably vibrant — blues, yellow-orange, and black at full original saturation with virtually no UV fading. Print registration is excellent. Paper retains its original texture and structural integrity throughout. An unusually clean example of Soviet graphic art, suitable for immediate archival framing.
