Klementyeva integrates bold Cyrillic block typography directly into the geometric framework — a hallmark of the Constructivist agitprop tradition in which text and image are inseparable components of a single visual argument. Commissioned for the regional workforce in Baku during the NEP era, the poster addressed the persistence of tipping culture as a remnant of pre-revolutionary class relations. Ksenia Klementyeva (1896–1984) was one of the few prominent female voices in Soviet graphic design of the 1920s, and this work stands as one of her most resolved and historically resonant compositions.
